Populations Served
The Shoreline Therapy Center treats people in different stages of life with different conditions. Across all of these groups, we employ our structured approach with individual customization, giving a strong level of organization to the therapy as well as an approach designed specifically for each client.
For Children & Adolescents, 4-21
Emotional issues, particularly at an early age, can significantly impede a student’s educational and social development. Some families may consider taking the child or young adult outside the public school system and enrolling them in a specialized school or facility or wilderness program. At the Center, through our Connections Program, we keep them in their public school where they can learn to function in within their own “normal” environment…
For Adults, 21+
Often adults, particularly ones transitioning into adulthood, struggle to cope with the activities required to function independently in their home environment. The center works with these individuals, their families and their healthcare providers to help them adapt and develop the skills necessary to achieve functional independence…
For People In Transition, all ages
There are many transitions in life, some are as simple as transitioning from high school to college or from job to job or town to town. Other transitions are more profound such as transitioning from a therapeutic facility or wilderness program back into their home environment or living through a divorce in the family or experiencing the death of a loved one…
Schools & Universities
Advocating a systems-based approach to therapy, we are more than willing to work with public schools, boarding schools and colleges to help better address the issues facing our clients. We solicit their input as to what factors may be affecting our clients but also educate them as to the condition of our client and what they might be reacting the way they are to certain situations…
